The Quebec Soccer Federation has decided that the soft turbans that Sikh boys wear are a security risk on the field and have informed their officials to not allow any children on the field to play if they *insist* on wearing their traditional headwear.
Quebec is the only province in Canada that has decided to make this a regulation.
There is a debate going on, but the Quebec Soccer Federation is not responding to anyone right now, not to any Sikh organizations, not the Canadian Soccer Federation, no one.
This is ridiculous and I am horrified that children IN MY AREA are not being allowed to play.
